Let me just quote directly from one of our
campsite directories.
Rock Springs KOA
Welcome to the high desert, where the sun always shines, and there is seldom
a drop of rain. The air is dry and the wind is strong. Conveniently located
of I-80 in Rock Springs, the Rock Springs KOA is a full-service RV park
with full amenities, a large swimming pool, store and game room. This KOA
is a large facility, well maintained and clean. The sites are gravel, and
there is no grass anywhere in the park, including the tent sites or in front
of the cabins. In addition, there are no trees, but we've been told there
is great satellite television reception. The park does overlook some smaller
mountains to the rear, but there is a Conoco oil plant in the front. Sites
are lined up in rows, with no real dividers. Rock City is a fairly large
metropolis for Wyoming, offering movies, shopping, museums, and many special
events and festivals.
