End of Semester Shots
'After' photos for the ETC website. Our students all survived the semester, and they look pretty happy. Shot in a lobby at EA with a big empty wall and white ceiling to bounce the flash off of.

Shot for our ETC website - five of our CMU-ETC students after giving a presentation about their summer internships. I started shooting before everyone was 'posed', which which got everyone much more comfortable and helped them show some real personality.
Class is back in session for our Carnegie Mellon Entertainment Technology Center students. We have two teams out here this semester, and as is customary I shoot team photos at the beginning and the end of the term. I went for an album cover look this time. Shot in a hallway at EA with plenty [...]
Last weekend was the Makers Faire - a crazy two day confab of DIYers, Steampunks, rocketeers, and electro-mechanics. I was only able to attend for half day and was so overwhelmed that I didn't shoot much. Camera Obscura This is inside a beautiful camera obscura built by Chris de Monterey. The image is projected via [...]

It was much more interesting watching people prepare for the parade that watching them walk down the street. It was just [...]
NAMM, the interNAtional Music products association M (go figure) had it's winter convention in Anaheim last week, and as usual Jason, Ryan and I headed down. We changed our strategy this year, and headed first to the Taylor Guitar suite to get their performance schedule - Taylor sets up a stage with top notch sound [...]
Harter Ryan from Microsoft's Ensemble Studios gave the opening keynote speech at ICON2008. Kudos to Harter for not using a single bullet point in his presentation (a tenet I believe in wholeheartedly, but violated myself this time). Here he's silhouetted in front of an image of a large crowd as he discussed the potential size [...]

This group shot is of the students, plus Jiyoung and me (faculty) and Michelle (staff) in front of the EA logo in Redwood Shores. [...]
