Not too many Sundays like this one left.
(Note to NYT Crossword geeks, the San Jose Mercury lags a week from the Times.)

Taken at Shoreline Amphitheatre during a Steve Miller concert. I straightened this photo a few degrees and removed a water drop, but otherwise this is untouched, including color and contrast – a rarity.

More “frozen” water. This was shot outside at night using just the camera’s flash. The strong highlight on the left comes from the bottom of a dog bowl that I was using as a reflector.

I came across this coyote carcass on my mountain bike ride this morning, once again in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The spine was right on the property line of the Jikoji Zen Temple and Retreat Center. Despite their peaceful name, I’m not messing with those guys.
I didn’t know what kind of animal it was when I was up there, but the spine was almost 3 feet long from the hipbone (left) to where the skull would attach (right), so clearly a large animal. The thin ribcage and tall dorsal bones made it easy to identify online.

My sister and I are helping my Mom do some house hunting. One of the houses we visited had a funky workbench in the garage cobbled together with parts from desks, a refrigerator and miscellaneous other things.
The sign nailed to a bottom drawer is what really caught our eyes, though.

These are the cameras I use regularly. A Canon 10D, an Olympus Stylus770SW, and a Motorola Razr V3.
The picture was taken with the Canon and the Olympus and comp’d together. If you look closely, the image on the screen of the Olympus is looking over the top of the Canon looking at the felt set up for this picture.
