October 5, 2007 – Flouresent Lights

I spent much of the day working in the garage, where these lights are. A stark contrast to the rest of the week’s outdoor themes.

October 1, 2007 – Gladiolas

Red gladiolas from a flower arrangement.
Processed with Lightroom to get a more dramatic feeling from them.

September 23, 2007 – First Day of Fall

Not too many Sundays like this one left.
(Note to NYT Crossword geeks, the San Jose Mercury lags a week from the Times.)

September 17, 2007 – Garage Drawers

My sister and I are helping my Mom do some house hunting. One of the houses we visited had a funky workbench in the garage cobbled together with parts from desks, a refrigerator and miscellaneous other things.

September 9, 2007 – Drawer Pulls

I shot more images for my “Stuff I Built” page. This is a detail from the garage cabinets I built. I used hammerheads as the drawer pulls – they look right and feel good to use, too.

Taken at the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento, CA. Rosie is actually a mannequin.

August 29, 2007 – 8 Ball

A tough day for photography. I didn’t like anything I shot today, including the moonrise over Silicon Valley. So at 11pm I played around with my small Olympus and got a shot I could work with. I like the aggressive cropping here.
