Eric leaves for college tomorrow, and Kevin is off to stay with his aunt for a few days. This was taken during the goodbye. A special photo for me because of the time and subject.

Though he looks very contemplative, Eric is actually playing the drums and focused completely on that.

I had some other options today for the shot, but ended up with this snapshot instead. Why? This guy carded me going into a bar in Boulder. Given that I had a significant birthday this year that was well over 2X the drinking age, I had to document this.

I went into the garage to put away the lights from the Bolex camera shoot (7/24/07) and felt inspired to use them again. That, and the fact that all the other pictures I shot today sucked so I was desperate. I liked the idea of holding one of the lights to help convey that it was a self portrait and had some dynamics to it.
