I saw Bill Gates speak at Stanford today. The image quality is crappy because I forgot to put the recharged battery back in my good camera. Doh. I took this with my Motorola RAZR, which I don’t recommend for anything.

A sea anenome in a tide pool at Weston Beach. I had my waterproof Olympus P&S with me, so I could just dunk it in the water for shots like this.
Shot on a photo outing to Point Lobos with the Palo Alto Camera Club.

Today’s picture is of a desk and chair my father built when he was in grade school. I’m not sure the exact year, but it would have been in the 1920’s. The top of the desk is about the size of a dollar bill. It’s made of pine and nailed together with tiny brads.

Rodin’s “Burghers of Calais” at Stanford.
10 second exposure, with light painting from a flashlight on the foreground sculpture.

I wanted to play around with some high key lighting, so I stacked up these blocks on a white board. I used a long lens and tried to position it to give the blocks the feeling of an orthographic projection.

Hanging out in LA before the VES Awards. A large number of protesters from the group “Anonymous” were finishing up their day.
I especially love this guy’s belt.
