San Gregorio Beach collects a lot of driftwood. On any given day you can find a number of interesting structures and sculptures that visitors build. Though this one is relatively simple, I like its weight and real shelter quality.

I agree with your take on this image. Very sheltering yet the image has a raw feel to it — a feel of elements at hand. Like the bones of an ancient encampment etching in the wind.
