| Six months of planning, and here we are in our
driveway Monday evening, pretty much ready to go. Everything except our
clothes has been packed up, the remainder will be done in the morning. Sarah
and I spent a couple hours at the rental place getting trained on how to
operate everything, and luckily they gave us a videotape we can watch a few
more times - there's a lot of stuff on this thing! A month-long trip, and we're in no hurry to leave in the morning. Five and a half hours of roadtime with Bakersfield as a reward, hmmm. I hear they have a kickass oil museum in town; considering how much we're going to burn maybe we should stop there and learn a bit. |
