Eric and I enjoyed a top-down drive to the coast today. I took along my kite aerial photography setup just in case the wind behaved. We visited the Pigeon Point Light Station with the hopes of getting an interesting kite shot of it, but the wind was still when we got there. It finally kicked up about 2:30 with just enough speed to get the camera aloft. We were standing on the cliff and the wind carried the kite and camera over the ocean, where it dropped below our level for a nerve wracking few minutes. Eventually the wind got strong enough to get some altitude and we ended up with about a dozen good shots. This one is the best.
We were standing just out of view of the camera on the right side of the frame.
